Sponsor rstudio::conf 2019!
The conference for all things R and RStudio
January 15th through the 18th 2019 at the Fairmont Hotel, Austin, Texas.
Show your support for R users and RStudio and put your brand in front of 1,500+ enthusiastic data scientists gathered to learn and exchange ideas on the best ways to analyze data and share insights.
rstudio::conf workshop and conference registrations are 70% non-academic by design. Most describe themselves as R users or data scientists with smaller numbers identifying themselves as managers, system administrators, data architects, or IT professionals.
Sponsor Package Descriptions
Once an agreement is reached with a sponsor they will be identified by logo, company name, description and/or website address as sponsors in conference marketing in proportion to their support. Sponsors will appear on the rstudio::conf website, at the opening and closing of the training and conferences, in conference communications and blog posts, on the conference app, and on conference venue signs.
All package sponsors will also receive 2 conference passes.
Training Days Happy Hour
Tuesday, January 15th
One sponsor – $15K
Most conference attendees also attend pre-conference workshops. In 2019 we will organize a rooftop party and provide networking opportunities after the first day of workshops. In addition, RStudio authors will sign and give away books at the Happy Hour. We anticipate approximately 800 workshop registrants to attend the Happy Hour. The Happy Hour sponsor will receive generous physical signage in the Happy Hour rooftop area, collateral distribution inside the registration package, a sponsorship slide with an offer shown to all training attendees, and the option to have a table in a prominent location on the rooftop (weather permitting) for the evening.
Wednesday, January 16th
One sponsor – $20K
The popular Opening Reception will feature food, drink, and 20 poster sessions set up around the room. It is generally attended by nearly all of the workshop and most of the conference registrants. We anticipate at least 1,000 registered attendees to attend the reception in 2019. The Opening Reception sponsor will receive generous physical signage in the registration area and in the reception area, collateral distribution inside the registration package, and the option to have a table or booth in a prominent location in the reception area for the evening.
ACL Live! Concert
Thursday, January 17th
One sponsor – $20K
Sponsor the live music concert with food and drinks at the iconic Moody Theater, home of ACL Live! We expect more than 1,500 guests to attend. Place your name and logo on signage to be seen by everyone and set up your own special activity in a 2nd-floor suite (we’ll help you pick something)!
Logo on room keys – one sponsor – $5K
Lunch or Breakfast Sponsor – $2.5K per Lunch or Breakfast per day.
Sponsors may place signs and collateral in the eating area. A table or booth set up in the eating area is optional. Set up must be done before mealtime in coordination with the venue.
Birds of a Feather – one sponsor per topic – $5K
Birds of a Feather are groups of attendees with a common interest, typically within an industry vertical, such as Finance, or Insurance. This sponsorship entitles the sponsor to a dedicated room with drinks and snacks provided along with optional signage and/or info table during the 1 hour BoF sessions preceding the Thursday night concert.
Custom sponsorship opportunity – multiple sponsors – $TBD
Custom sponsorships might include a specific giveaway or break activity, etc
As in prior years, we do not offer speaking sessions for sponsors. The conference agenda is determined entirely by Chief Scientist Hadley Wickham and CTO Joe Cheng.
This year we will also not have a sponsor exhibit area. Regrettably, exhibitor fees last year and the year before did not cover the cost and effort to coordinate sponsor participation, space, etc., despite trying different price points and tiers. We apologize if this restriction makes it difficult for you to support us and would appreciate any suggestions you might have for exhibiting at our next conference in 2020.
