Practical Advice for R in Production, Part 1: Why?
July 20, 2021
Bridging the gap between data science and IT teams is much easier to do than most would think. This two-part webinar with Colin Gillespie from Jumping Rivers will discuss why open source languages are suitable for enterprise data science, and how the data scientist can work with the IT team to get their organizational buy-in.
The first webinar will discuss the big picture of using open source languages and tools in enterprise environments while the second webinar will be a hands-on workshop to gain certain skills for securely putting R in production.
Colin is a Senior Statistics lecturer at Newcastle University and is a co-founder of Jumping Rivers. He has used R for over twenty years and has been teaching R for the past fifteen years. He recently co-authored the O’Reilly book on Efficient R Programming.
